Weary in Doing Good?
When my daughter started Kindergarten, her mother and I got to go to "Meet the Teacher" event the second week of school. During that gathering we were informed that our daughter was very "quiet and compliant". This confused us because that's not how she acted at home. We actually thought the teacher was talking about the wrong student, so we spell our daughter's name out for her. The teacher laughed and assured us there was only one Emilee in her class and went on to discuss how she was doing.
When we got home, we asked our daughter why she acted so good at school and not at home? Her reply was honest and hilarious: "I get tired of being good!"
Have you ever felt that way? Have you ever gotten tired of "being good"? If you have you are in good company. It seems King David might have struggled with this. The Apostle Paul had some thoughts about it, too. This lesson takes a look at what they both had to say about not being "weary in well doing". Thanks for tuning in!
